A peer-reviewed longevity pilot, published in Frontiers in Aging

A pilot study co-authored by the Wellbeing team and its longevity research partner, published in Frontiers in Aging, reports a younger biological age across the group after a 17-week protocol.

A pilot study of Wellbeing’s multi-modal longevity protocol has been published, after peer review, in the journal Frontiers in Aging. The paper, “A multi-modal longevity protocol integrating lifestyle, supplements, and autologous pro-regenerative cell-conditioned media: a pilot study,” is a joint piece of work by the Wellbeing team and its longevity research partner, with named authors including E. Ortega, G. Addor, S. Bhatia, M. Lewinsohn and P-E. Sottas. It appeared in June 2026 and is freely available to read in full.

The study is a single-arm, open-label pilot. Sixteen healthy adults between the ages of 46 and 72 enrolled, and fourteen completed the programme. Over seventeen weeks they followed a protocol with three components working together: structured lifestyle optimisation, targeted supplementation, and intravenous administration of a person’s own pro-regenerative cell-conditioned media – an autologous, cell-free preparation of the kind that sits at the centre of Wellbeing’s work.

The headline finding concerns biological age, the idea that a body can be measured as biologically older or younger than its number of birthdays. The study tracked two established measures. On PhenoAge, a composite drawn from clinical blood markers, the group fell by an average of 2.0 years over the protocol, a change the authors report as statistically significant (p=0.014). On an epigenetic DNA-methylation clock, a separate measure read directly from patterns on the DNA, the group fell by 2.7 years (p=0.003). Those are the changes recorded across the protocol, and they reflect the full multi-modal programme rather than Cell-Free Therapy in isolation. No adverse events were reported over the course of the study.

Two points of care matter in reading this result, and the paper is careful about both. First, the protocol is multi-modal by design. The change in biological-age measures reflects the whole programme – lifestyle, supplements and the conditioned-media infusions together – and the study is not built to separate out how much any single component contributed. It would be wrong to read the result as the infusion alone doing the work. Second, this is an early-phase pilot: a small group, no control arm, and an open-label design. Its proper role is to establish that the protocol is safe and feasible and that the direction of travel is worth pursuing in a larger, controlled study. It is a first data point, not a final verdict.

Within those limits, the study still matters to Wellbeing for a specific reason. The autologous conditioned-media component of the protocol is the same family of preparation that underpins Cell-Free Therapy. Having a peer-reviewed, published pilot that includes that component, run in real participants and reported transparently with its methods and its caveats intact, moves part of Wellbeing’s programme from internal record onto the published scientific literature. That is a threshold the field as a whole is only beginning to cross, and it is one Wellbeing has said for some time it wanted to reach on the record rather than by assertion.

The paper also reflects how Wellbeing prefers to talk about this work. Cell-Free Therapy is intended to support the body’s own normal biological function. It is not a treatment for any disease, and nothing in this study changes that. The value of a published pilot is not a claim of cure; it is that a measured protocol, applied to real people, produced a measurable, peer-reviewed signal in the direction the biology predicts, with no safety flags, and that the whole thing is now open for other researchers to read, question and build on.
